Boys and Girls Youth Lacrosse
The Polars Winter Lacrosse Clinic offers boys and girls the opportunity to play the game of lacrosse and be coached by the Polars group of experienced coaches. There is no experience necessary and the focus of the camp will be to help teach the game to new players and develop the skills of returning players. The foundation of the camp will be based on fundamentals and drills along with games and scrimmages to help prepare players for the spring season.
Required equipment boys: Helmet, mouth guard, gloves, shoulder pads, elbow pads and stick. (Hockey equipment is allowed. Sticks are available for players who need to borrow one for the camp.)
Required equipment for girls: Stick and goggles.
All teams (except the girls varsity and girls JV) practice on Fridays using the following schedule:
Jan. 3, 10, 17, 24 and Feb. 7, 14, 21, 28
– 5:15-6:30 p.m., Boys and Girls U9
– 6:30-7:45 p.m., Boys U13, Girls U13 7:45-9 p.m., Boys varsity
Girls varsity and JV schedule:
(All practices are on Mondays except Thursday Feb. 27 will be 6-7:30 p.m.)
Jan. 6, 13, 20, 27 and Feb. 3, 10, 17, 27
– 8:45-10 p.m. varsity and JV girls.
Girls players who fall under the U15 age can choose to practice with the varsity/JV or the U15 age group.
The Friday times may be adjusted slightly depending on registration numbers.
To meet association insurance policies a U.S. Lacrosse Membership Number is required for registration.
